Peggy Pamela (Meredith) Wright

Peacefully on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at the Wellington Terrace, Fergus.  Peggy Wright, at the age of 100 was the beloved wife of Donald Wright, caring mother of Audrey and her husband Jim and Alan and his wife Denise, adoring grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  Peggy was the loving daughter of the late Jack and Emily Meredith and loving sister of the late Beryl Waring, and leaves behind a large extended family in the U.k..

Peggy Wright was born in Chester, U.k., May 13, 1920.  During the war she worked in an ammunition and bomb factory and her husband Don was in the Navy.  They immigrated to Canada in 1966 with their two children.  Don and Peggy recently celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Wellington Terrace for the absolutely amazing care, especially during the difficult Covid19 times.  It was actually the staff at the Wellington Terrace who provided the photo attached to this obituary.

Arrangements have been entrusted to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52, Erin.  Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.  Interment to take place at Erin Union Cemetery.  Donations in Peggy’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Donation cards available at the funeral home or you may send the family a condolence at www.macintyrefamilyfuneralhome.com
