Marjorie Ditchfield Obituary

May 2, 2021 in Hillsburgh, ON  surrounded by loved ones holding her hands.

Emigrated to Canada Christmas Eve 1952 with her son Graham Antony to join her husband Clifford, who emigrated to Canada to work on the Avro Arrow.

Cliff and Midge purchased their first home in Brampton in 1954.  Three more children were born, Grant Adrian, Ann Blair, and Jeanette.

Our family grew up in Brampton and Cliff and Midge resided there until 2008 when they sold and moved to Hillsburgh.  Cliff and Midge were very active in Brampton through the Brampton and Huttonville Lions Clubs for over 40 years they served to help the growing city.

Midge dedicated her life to being the best mother/wife we could ever have imagined.  She supported all of us through the ups and downs of life improving the lives of everyone she met.

Midge through her four children became a grandmother to nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed by all.

Midge was an avid reader, gardener, and volunteered many years of her life.  She loved her Toronto Blue Jays and especially later in life followed them intently.

The love of her life Cliff died May 2, 2010 and she followed him home to glory exactly eleven years later on May 2, 2021.

For the last seven years of here life Midge lived with Jeanette and her wonderful husband Mark.  Their friends became Mom’s friends, which was a new adventure for her.  Mom’s birthdays always had many of Jeanette’s facebook contacts sending birthday wishes which kept her in love, prayers, support, and community.

Living amongst loved ones as you grow old afforded us the unique opportunity to be with Mom until the end of her precious life as she departed to glory with beautiful hymns, spoken words of love, the touch of hands, and the most caring nurses and support workers you ever want to meet.  Thank you to all who cared for Mom in her final months.  What an amazing blessing God provided to our family.

God bless you Mom you will be greatly missed!!!
