Kenneth Martin Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Kenneth John Martin on Thursday April 15, 2021, who was born within the sound of Bow Bells in London, England.  Ken would have celebrated his 92nd birthday on May 31st.  He was predeceased by his parents, Jack Martin and Dora Smith, his brother Alex and his first wife Elaine Horton and their infant twin daughters.  He is survived his son Derek and his daughter Amanda; his sisters Dorothy and Pam (Nick) of the United Kingdom, and his brother-in-law Laurie (Eileen) of Australia, and his second wife Pat (nee Wraw).

Ken was a professional engineer who came to Canada in the 1960’s to work on a project for the Canadian Government.  Ken was a man who loved people and the great outdoors.  He loved to fly, boat, bike, camp and curl.  Ken lived life to the fullest.  He was a lifelong learner doing courses even days before his death, and a member of the local ELO.  Ken was a strong gentle soul full of life, love, and laughter, with a delightful kindly sense of humour and fun.  He will be greatly missed by many.
