Danny Barber passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 44, following a two and half year battle with brain cancer. Danny was born in Orangeville, Ontario on October 9, 1977 to parents Marlene (Mckitrick) and Ralph Barber who both predeceased him. Danny is survived by his brother and sister-in- law Andy and Colleen Barber of Thunder Bay, niece Leigh-Anne, and nephews Shawn and Colin Barber, great niece and nephews Tanner and Jaxon Barber, Brooke and Blake Sherrer also all of Thunder Bay, and Uncle Murray Mckitrick of Grand Valley. Danny was an enthusiastic young man who possessed a great sense of humour and touched many lives while living and working in Hillsburgh, Ontario. Danny worked for the Town of Erin for 13 years as an Arena Attendant at the Hillsburgh Community Center, as well as several years working at the Hillsburgh Foodland in town. Danny loved sports especially NHL hockey, Blue Jays Baseball, dirt car racing, and following the Raptors basketball. He played hockey and baseball in Hillsburgh for many years and also was a key member of the Orangeville Wolves hockey team. He was dedicated to performing well at work. Danny will be remembered for all the lasting friendships he acquired throughout his life, and will be dearly missed by his friend and caregiver Dennis and his wife Diana who will miss his laughter and positive zest for life. He will be missed but never forgotten.

A private family service will be held on Saturday October 23, 2021 followed by interment at Huxley Cemetery, 5982 Trafalgar Road, Hillsburgh. For those wishing to attend the interment at Huxley Cemetery, please arrive no later that 4 p.m. A public celebration of Danny's life will be held at a later date.
