Charlotte Dunbar (Wilson) Lathwell

Peacefully on November 22, 2021 with her loving husband and extended family at her side.  Charlotte Lathwell was the beloved wife of Ivan Lathwell and special grandma to Daniel Wetering (Lynnai) and great-grandma to Tristen & Wesley.

Charlotte moved to Canada in 1959 and after 10 years, she and Ivan found love.  They were married December  19, 1972. Together they moved to Erin and bought their little farm on November 19, 1973.  They had two cows Pugsley & Fiddler and a flock of game birds.

Charlotte loved to talk to anyone and everyone; she had a real gift of the gab.  We used to say “if you ask Charlotte for the time, she would explain how to build a watch”.  She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, kayaking, archery and target shooting.  She was quite the marksman, competing all across Ontario for both archery and shotgun shooting, and has boxes of trophies to prove it!

Ivan would like to thank all of their great neighbours, loving friends and the wonderful caregivers for all of their help and support during this difficult time.

Arrangements entrusted to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52, Erin, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 6 pm.  Those wishing to attend, please follow the RSVP link at the bottom of this obituary and please make sure you are double vaccinated for Covid-19 before entering the funeral home.  Staff will be checking vaccination records prior to entry.  Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army – New Hope Community Church, Orangeville.  Card will be available at the funeral home or you may send the family a message of condolence at www.macintyrefamilyfuneralhome.com
