Catherine Lillian Villeneuve

Born in Barry’s Bay, Ontario, into a large, loving (and often loud) family, she spent most of her adult years in Pembroke, Ontario.

Catherine left her imprint on many volunteer organizations, Pembroke’s real estate world, and her many Ottawa Valley friends, neighbours and relatives. Without a doubt, though, she was proudest of her three sons, Michael, Andrew and Richard, her four grandchildren, Sherry (KK), Connor, Hope and Nick, and her three daughters‐in‐law, Laura, Wendy and Krista.

She is predeceased by her mother, Evelyn (Hildebrandt), her father Alfred, her sister Therese and her baby brother Johnny. She is survived by her sisters Hedy, Angela, Claire (Wayne), Marie (Wayne), Jackie, her brother Alfred (Margaret), and many nieces and nephews, all of whom are now wondering who will debate politics with them at the next family gathering.

Catherine died peacefully and comfortably in Guelph, Ontario. With her passing, the world has lost a fierce Scrabble competitor, loyal Habs supporter, #1 Elvis Presley fan and much more importantly, a warm and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Arrangements entrusted to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52, Erin.  Her wish was to be cremated, and a Mass and celebration of life will take place in Barry’s Bay, on a future date.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local and important charity of your choice and give someone a hug and a smile in memory of her, as she was overflowing with both.
