Art England Obituary

Gone is the pain, the confusion and the struggle. Replaced by Light, Love and Peace

Art England was a loving, kind, and gentle man of few words. He took life as it came and made the very best of it.  Never once did we hear him complain.

We have been losing him bit by bit with Alzheimer’s, but it was a Covid Outbreak at his Long Term Care Home, that finally took him from us, on January 12, 2021.

It was such a blessing that we were finally able to touch and be with him at the hospital, those last few days, after being separated for so long during the pandemic.

He will be deeply missed, by his loving Wife and best friend for 13 years Kate,

Devoted Daughters, Jessica Holvik (Stefan) and Julia England,

Grandchildren, Aidan, Kai and Ella

Beloved Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Ted (Dianne) and Rick (Sandy) England and their families

Art loved Music, live or recorded. He never tired of watching birds and squirrels in the backyard, riding his bike and most of all just being out in Nature.

He did not talk very much, but he loved to sing and when he talked, we listened.

Art was a caring hands-on kind of man, who would be the first to lend those hands to anyone who had a need, giving always unconditionally.

He felt blessed to have lived the past 40, of his 70 years on Earth, in Erin, a Community he loved and where so many loved him.

We as a family are so grateful for the time we had him in our lives. We will miss hearing his laugh and his tender touch.

We loved him very, very much.

Arrangements entrusted to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52, Erin.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Art's life will be held once family and friends can safely gather.  In these tough times, please help keep his giving spirit alive by donating to people in need, through Covenant House, The Scott Mission or the East Wellington Community Services, in his honour. You may also send the family a condolence at www.macintyrefamilyfuneralhome.com
