It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of our mother Nancy after a brief health struggle. Surrounded by family and friends in her last days, both at home and then at Headwaters Hospital, she was kept safe and well-loved. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard and son Geoffrey (Joanne). She is survived by her sons Richard (Dale), Graham, and Charlie (Nicole), 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Nancy led a full and interesting life. During her early years she split her time between New York City and Black Donald Mines Ontario near Calabogie. Later the family settled in Toronto where she attended Havergal College. Nancy's friendships formed in her school years remain strong even today. She met Richard and they were married in September 1953. With Richard she had four sons and while she was a tiny woman she had no trouble managing the activities of her four boys. Nancy and Richard lived in Toronto and summered in Muskoka for 35 years. In retirement they moved to Belfountain Ontario where they lived happily in the country. Nancy continued to live in Belfountain after her husband Richard died in 2008 but finally made a move to a beautiful farm in Inglewood Ontario. There she enjoyed entertaining friends, family and playing bridge right up to the time of her passing.
