Donald Gallagher

Peacefully on October 27, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Health Care, Guelph.  Donald Gallagher in his 74th year was the loving father of Craig Gallagher and Cheryl Hainz(Craig) and adoring grandfather of Megan, Steven and Hailey. Donald was predeceased by his parents Leo and Isabelle Gallagher and is survived by his brother Ron and sisters Leona and Margaret.

Today we say goodbye to a real kind and generous character. Donald Kevin Patrick  Gallagher my dad. He leaves us today on earth but starts a new journey in a place where there is no more physical pain. My family has been blessed to have as much time with Dad and Grandpa as we did. Stop by and I am sure I can share a story that will make you smile about the old boy, there are plenty I can pick from to entertain you.

Thanks to all that helped him and us during this last 13 months, it has been a journey.
Tears are for yesterday and today we celebrate, raise a cup of your favorite brew, my dad will being looking down from the heavens sipping some of the finest Irish whiskey smiling and offering you a cheers as well.

Dad and Grandpa you will be missed but never forgotten.  God bless all.

A celebration of Donald's life will be held on Saturday November 17, 2018 at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 442, 12 Dundas St E, Erin from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.  Donations in Donald's memory can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation (Guelph).  Cards will be available at The Legion or you may send the family a condolence at www.macintyrefamilyfuneralhome.com
